Wrap Up
Yesterday we once again embarked into canoes and onto the Pegnitz for a water fun filled day. After a 5km walk from Rupprechtstegen to Altershofen we got introductions on canoeing and then we went into the water.
From there it was smooth sailing to the first stop where, under enjoyment of some drinks and cakes we basked in the sun. With some of the boats being armed to water guns we even had some water fights while on the land. After cakes we continued but this time some of the boats weren't as lucky as on the first stretch and soon the first casualties went for an involuntary swim.
Luckily the sun dried all swimmers fast again and most lost boxes, paddles, boats and bottles got found again down river. But we wish a minute of silence for the departed paddle, phone and key..
We not only found lost things but also, rather pleasantly, a message in a bottle! It's always a fun surprise to find communication from a long lost civilization (or in this case, some kids).
Thanks to everyone for joining this fun filled day on the river and we will definitely plan another canoeing or kayak event soon this summer! Until then, enjoy all the photos of this one below.
