Wrap Up
On Saturday morning we set off from Neuhaus towards Pegnitz on a, planned, 20km route. After the first few kilometers our way blocked off by forest works so we had to find a detour. But after a bit more of walking we were greeted by some beautiful caves in the Veldensteiner Forest. We even found some bats that were sleeping in one cave, sadly, some of them seemed to not have survived some of the colder nights. As we hiked onward we got greeted by some blue sky and sunshine towards the end which was a nice cherry on top of our hike cake!
In the end we ended up hiking a beautiful 26km from Neuhaus to Pegnitz with many interesting caves and rock formations. Thanks to everyone for joining!
